Trauma & Fracture Care
Trauma and fracture care is the branch of orthopedic surgery focused on the diagnosis, management, and care of broken bones. Bone fractures are often the result of trauma, such as a high force impact or stress. Bones can also fracture as a result of certain medical conditions that weaken the bones, like osteoporosis, bone cancer, or osteogenesis imperfecta. These types of fractures are termed pathological fractures.
