Partial & Total Joint Replacement Surgery
When joint pain and loss of functionality become severe, they can limit mobility and significantly diminish quality of life. Whether from trauma or the wear and tear of an active lifestyle, some degenerated joints ultimately require replacement.
The professionals at Bergen County-based Kayal Orthopaedic Center, PC can help you conquer your pain, restore functionality, and regain your quality of life! We will conduct a thorough evaluation of your condition, examining the bones and cartilage in your joints to assess possible damage, and determine whether the pain is joint-related.
Dr. Kayal is Bergen County’s regional pioneer for partial knee and patellofemoral knee replacement technology, and he has performed more of these surgeries than any other orthopedic surgeon in the region. While a typical orthopedic surgeon may perform about 20 joint replacements per year, Dr. Kayal routinely performs more than 200 to 250 joint replacements each year.
Dr. Kayal is recognized for having performed the first-ever Bergen County patellofemoral knee joint replacement and minimally invasive partial knee replacement. These surgical procedures involve far smaller incisions than those required for total knee replacement surgery, and involve no cutting of muscle or tendons. As a result, patients usually return home the same day as surgery, recuperate much faster, and experience less pain than traditional knee replacement patients.
As an industry innovator, Dr. Kayal also introduced the concept of “outpatient joint replacement surgery” to the Bergen County area, and he performs partial hip replacements and total hip replacements on a regular basis.
In the following video, you will hear from a Kayal Orthopaedic Center patient who received a minimally invasive partial knee replacement. To schedule your minimally invasive surgical consultation, call or email our leading New Jersey orthopedic team today.
